A compactor is a machine or mechanism used to reduce the size of material such as waste material or bio mass through compaction. A trash compactor is often used by a home or business to reduce the volume of trash it produces. Automatic Response Systems does not provide or service compactors used in residential homes. Our business is with industrial equipment only.
High-Rise compactors are only used in high-rise apartments or other urban structures, where a trash chute is present in the building. The compactor would be located in the basement or bottom floor to collect and compact the debris sent down the chute.
Self-Contained Compactors are built for applications that require storage and removal of wet waste. Outdoor compactors such as these can help prevent contamination of work areas as well as public areas.
Specialty Compactors are typically smaller sized units, utilized in apartment buildings without a trash chute, or in small retail operations. Food preparation kitchens, school cafeterias, housekeeping areas, quick serve restaurants, hotels and similar situations require specialized machines that do not need a large space or operating area.
Stationary or breakaway compactors involve a ground mounted compactor connected to a removable roll-off receiver container. This type of compactor is used when there are large volumes of dry, compactable materials being generated and there is not a space limitation issue on-site. The container is then picked-up by roll off truck once it is full.
